Instant Pot Chicken Lettuce Wraps are the healthy, easy answer to P.F. Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps. Their chicken lettuce wraps are one of the most popular items on their menu.
With so many people out there trying to lead healthier lifestyles and eat healthier food, it’s no wonder that P.F. Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps recipe is so popular.
However, there are two drawbacks to restaurant food. To begin with, even the healthiest dishes are usually overflowing with salt. Whether you have high blood pressure or you’re the picture of health, too much salt is bad for your body.
Secondly, restaurant food is expansive! You’ll pay so much more by ordering out than you will if you make your own versions of your favorite recipes.
Today, I’m going to show you a healthier, more flavorful version of P.F. Chang’s chicken wraps. In addition to being delicious, these Instant Pot lettuce wraps are easy to make, so they’re perfect for any family any day of the week.
If you’re like me, you’d rather get more for your money and make recipes whenever you can. Sure, restaurant food is great, but it’s far more expensive than making a homemade version. These chicken lettuce wraps are delicious and easy to make, so there’s no reason not to give them a try.
I don’t want to toot my own horn here but these are a lot better than P.F. Chang’s version. I used standard ground chicken to make these and was blown away by how juicy the chicken turned out.
Not only are they better and more healthy than the P.F. Changs version, but they are a whole lot more wallet-friendly.

Healthy Chicken Lettuce Wraps Three Ways
Many people get nervous when it comes to making Asian food at home. With so many complex flavors in Asian dishes, people automatically assume that the recipe will be incredibly difficult to make, so they don’t even try.
Don’t make that mistake. In a lot of Asian dishes, the flavors do the heavy lifting. Often times, the only real work a cook has to do is saute some ingredients and then add the spices and sauces to create delicious dishes.
These Instant Pot lettuce wraps are one of those simple recipes. In fact, they are so easy to make, you can approach them in three different ways – in the Instant Pot, stovetop or slow cooker.
I am using ground chicken in this recipe. Ground chicken is lean and healthy and high protein. I imagine that you really could use ground turkey as well but I have not tried this recipe with ground turkey.

Are Chicken Lettuce Wraps Healthy?
Are chicken lettuce wraps healthy? I guess that depends on how you make them and which diet you are on. They can be quite healthy considering they are made of ground chicken breast and are wrapped in lettuce leaves which makes them pretty low carb. Although they do contain hoisin sauce which can be quite high in carbohydrates.
Hosin sauce is about 7 grams carbs per serving. Most recipes use about 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce. Thats 28 grams carbs just for the hoisin sauce. My way around the carbs if you are on a low carb or keto diet is to make my own homemade hoisin sauce.
This homemade hoisin sauce can be made also with coconut aminos also. You can use a zero calorie sweetner like monkfruit sweetner to also make this keto if you are on a low carb diet. This is a great recipe if you are on a meal plan too.
Keto Lettuce Wraps
I have gotten many questions about keto lettuce wraps so I am going to show you how to make these lettuce wraps keto friendly. It is easy to do using my homemade hoisin recipe that replaces the sugar in store bought hoisin sauce with monkfruit sweetner. Monkfruit sweetner has zero calories and carbs. There will be a link below to get it if you like.
What kind of lettuce for Lettuce Wraps
What kind of lettuce for lettuce wraps? I usually use iceberg lettuce because I like the crunch. Boston bib or butter lettuce is good to use as well. I have also used romaine lettuce in a pinch and it has a great crunch like iceberg lettuce.

Wondering what these would be like using ground turkey??
Well I would give it a try if you like ground turkey. I’m sure they would be pretty tasty
THANKS for responding ……… I’ll let you know how they turn out. I just have some ground turkey in the freezer I’d like to use up 🙂
Im curious how it turns out with ground turkey. Please let me know.
Matt
Great! Perfect on a hot summer night. Flavorful, comes together quickly with no mess. I will be making this again!
Im really happy that you like it. I make then all the time myself.
Matt
These were beyond delicious! The easiest for me was to do all the prep first, chopping. sauce, dipping sauce and they went together so easily. Our butter lettuce leaves were little, and our attempts failed, and we laughed at ourselves hysterically before making itty bitty “tacos” and finishing with our forks. A definite keeper.
I glad you like them. They are really tasty.
Super yum! Will definitely be making these again! My kids loved them too!
I am so glad you loved them. Thanks for leaving a comment and the kind words.
Matty.
I can’t wait to get what I need to make these. Sounds right up my alley other then watching the salt.
Love Mattys recipes.
I am glad that you like our recipes 🙂
Can the left over filling be frozen? They look delish but I am on my own!
Sure…But also it is good for 3 to 4 days in the fridge. I live alone as well and never freeze this as there is never any leftovers :
)
This turned out great! I did not follow the recipe to a T, I just guessed on amounts and used what I had in the fridge. Substituted ground chicken for ground turkey, hoisin sauce with about 1/8 Cup oyster sauce, Sriracha instead of red pepper and I threw in some gochujang sauce. So yummy!
I am super glad you enjoyed it. I love them too they were so good. Thanks for the nice comment.
Matty
Any suggestions on how to double the recipe? Family loves it so much, I need to make more! Used ground Turkey, and its great!
Sure. Just double the ingredients and cooking time is the same. It will take a bit longer to pressurize though.
Hope that helps.
Matty.
loved this dish…super easy to make! I’m one for fast and simple meals that taste great and this one fits the bill. I actually ended up putting some Kim Chee into the wraps so I ended up not using the sauce I made but the sauce was good too. Now I know how to whip up a plum sauce for use with other dishes!
Glad you liked it. I also like kimchee. Getting creative is half the fun.
Sounds delicious! I saw you wrote 170 kcal for the calories. Is that the same as regular calories? 170 calories per serving?
Yes that is the same as regular calories.
Thank you!
This is the best thing I have ever made in my instant pot!
Thanks so much I am so glad you enjoyed it.
Matty.
My first instant pot meal. All I can say is WOW!!!! So easy and delicious!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
That’s great. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations on your new instant pot. I’ve got plenty of good recipes on here. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about other recipes as well. Happy new year
Matty.
This recipe is amazing! I will make it again for sure.
Easy, delicious and now a family favorite! Almost didn’t have leftovers because of how much my kids enjoyed it.
That’s great news. Lettuce wraps are kid approved :
) Thanks for your comment.
Matty.
These are great! I just made this for a second time, this time doubling the recipe. However, it came put waaaay more liquidy this time, even after leaving it on saute for quite awhile after pressure cooking. I doubled all the ingredients…I’m wondering if I shouldn’t have doubled the chicken broth?
If it came out with too much liquid your second time you cooked it then yes too much liquid was added.
Matty.
These are absolutely amazing! My husband says they are better than a restaurant!
Aww so glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for the nice comment. Come back again I release new recipes all the time.
